Retail & Serviced Apartments Mixed Use Development (Quest Hotel) / 4 Star Green Rating

34 Mends St, South Perth

Froster Engineering put a concerted effort into advocating for a more practical "client design brief" on behalf of Silverleaf Investments.

Silverleaf Investments had negotiated with Quest Apartments (National) to develop a Serviced Apartment Complex (65+ Units) on Mends St in South, Perth.  This negotiated lead to the Quest (Aug 2016) Basis of Design Brief forming part of the contract.   There were elements in the brief with respect to mechanical services which were dated and in need of further update.  We worked as an advocate for positive change for both Quest Developments and our client to suit better outcomes in the mechanical design, i.e. lower cost and improved energy efficiency.

Given Quest Developments are responsible to cover the utility costs while Silverleaf were responsible for the capital expenditure for the serviced apartment aspect of this development we sought mutually beneficial outcomes for both.
